Two pupils from Burgettstown at Indiana University of Pennsylvania presented primary analysis through IUP’s Students Forum, held as part of IUP’s Analysis Appreciation Week.

Region learners at IUP who participated in the Scholars Discussion board include:

Eric Goins, a geography and geospatial data science big in the Cook dinner Honors School, introduced a investigate poster, “1925 Vandergrift Urban Reconstruction.” Dr. John Benhart, Office of Geography, Geology, Atmosphere and Arranging, served as the research undertaking mentor. Goins, son of Laura Goins, is a 2018 graduate of Burgettstown Superior University. He is the recipient of a Sutton Scholarship.

David Lane, a physics major, introduced a investigation poster, “Nano-Engineering a Sensor to Measure to Degradation of Lubricating Oil.” The school analysis mentor is Dr. Gregory Kenning, Madia Section of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, and Engineering. Lane, son of David Lane and Tracie Lane, is a 2016 graduate of Baldwin Higher University. He is a member of the Nationwide Culture of Leadership and Achievement and is vice president of the Physics Club. He acquired the Daniel Reiber Scholarship Award in Physics.

A Canonsburg scholar graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Could 7 with a bachelor’s diploma has been selected to provide as the college student speaker for just one of the undergraduate commencement ceremonies.

Kiara Williams, an early childhood schooling/specific education and learning with city monitor certification, will be the university student speaker for the 2 p.m. undergraduate ceremony on Could 7.

Daughter of Maria and Enrico Williams, she is a 2018 graduate of Canon-McMillan Superior School. She is the receiver of the 2022 Development of Urban Elementary Lecturers Scholarship, the School of Training and Communications Dean’s Scholarship and acquired the 2021 Dean’s Leadership Award for Kappa Delta Pi, the education and learning honor culture, where she has served as variety chair. She was a nominee for IUP Excellent Pupil Leader Award and the Homecoming Court. She has been a four-year participant in IUP’s Making Larger Requirements program, arranged to supply guidance and motivation to learners, serving as president and a chief-coordinator for three a long time. She also helped make the Distinctive Olympics club at IUP and served as fundraising chair of the organization.
