College Professor Calls The Police On Black Students For Being Late To Class

A Black educator at Perimeter College at Georgia State College has reportedly faced repercussions soon after a viral TikTok movie explained to the tale of her contacting the law enforcement on two Black pupils for allegedly currently being two minutes late to class.

TikTok user and college scholar Bria Blake shared a clip detailing the incident on March 30, and has considering the fact that garnered more than 165,000 likes on the submit.

The professor is a woman Blake identified as Carissa Gray.

Allegedly, the educator named the law enforcement after learners named Kamyrn and Taylor showed up for class slightly late and refused to leave the space at the professor’s request.

According to the TikTok, following Taylor claimed the pupils “paid to be below,” referencing tuition in exchange for their GSU training, the professor briefly still left the classroom and later returned with two armed college police officers.

Blake claimed 1 of the officers grabbed “Taylor’s matters and tried to forcibly take away them [the late students] from the space.”

Kamyrn and Taylor were then allegedly told that if they didn’t leave the classroom they’d be charged with trespassing, according to Blake’s now-viral account of the incident.

The two tardy pupils were being afterwards furthermore knowledgeable by the college’s Department of Student Lifetime that their incident with Gray was not the 1st time police were being named on pupils for anything irrational.

Blake shared that the two college students, a girl and male, have been crying and ended up “terrified” though wondering about what could’ve happened to them in the aftermath of the incident.

The TikToker also shared that Taylor feels professor Gray’s steps last week may perhaps have been the trainer retaliating in opposition to her over one more incident earlier in the semester.
