European trade unionists mobilise for quality public education, for the benefit of students, and improved status for teachers and education personnel

The Distinctive Meeting of the European Trade Union Committee for Training (ETUCE), the European area of Schooling Intercontinental, to be held from 5-6 July, in Liège, Belgium, will give an fantastic possibility for ETUCE affiliates’ associates to fulfill in man or woman yet again and bolster the bonds of solidarity amongst academics and other training workforce.

Keynote speeches will also be shipped by:

  • Kristin Vanlommel – Professor, Analysis Team Discovering and Innovation, College of Utilized Sciences, Utrecht, Belgium – on digitalisation and education.
  • Catherine Lowry-O’Neill – Lecturer, Waterford Institute of Engineering, United kingdom – on citizenship and inclusion.

These speeches will be followed by open conversations with participants.

The panel dialogue on “Addressing social transform in and by education and learning with environmental sustainability” with Matteo Vespa, President of the European Students’ Union, and Ulrike Pisiotis, coverage officer in the educational institutions unit of the Commission’s DG for Instruction, Youth, Activity and Culture, will target on the implementation of the ETUCE Resolution “For a sustainable foreseeable future of Europe: the job of education trade unions in Europe in addressing education and surroundings for social change” by instruction trade unions in their national contexts and worries connected to it.
