32 inmates at the prison ended up honored Monday for earning degrees from Jackson Group College or university.
Ranard Massey Jr. is one of them. He gained his Associates of Arts for the duration of the ceremony. His father, Ranard Massey Sr. drove from Detroit to check out his very first born son walk throughout the stage.
Massey Jr. never assumed he’d see this day come. He’s been in jail for virtually 22 yrs.
