KEARNEY – Hundreds of Occupation and Specialized Education educators and directors from across the state arrived together for the 2022 Nebraska Vocation Education Convention hosted in June in Kearney.
Winners of the Excellence in Occupation and Specialized Instruction Awards were recognized as superb Nebraska Occupation and Specialized Education systems and business partnerships. Younes Hospitality received the NCE Fantastic Business Partnership Award and Tennille Allison, KHS Profession University and Occupation Readiness Coordinator received the CTE Business, Marketing and Management Award.
This specialist discovering prospect kicked off with a welcome by Nebraska’s Commissioner of Training Dr. Matthew Blomstedt, State Board of Training Member Kirk Penner and Deputy Director of Financial Development Dan Curran. Writer, educator and advocate, Dr. Kevin Fleming, shipped an engaging and inspiring keynote presentation.

As a result of three times, convention members selected from more than 100 breakout periods in which they experienced the opportunity to collaborate, interact, find out and reconnect with CTE colleagues to progress their substantial-high quality CTE plans. Neighborhood, state and nationwide leaders presented on several topics concentrated on making certain all pupils have equitable entry to superior quality CTE plans and educating approaches to interact learners.
