Hundreds of elephants that died mysteriously in Botswana’s famed Okavango Delta possibly succumbed to pure poisons, the wildlife division claimed Friday.
The landlocked southern African place has the world’s major elephant population, approximated to be all around a hundred thirty,000. About 300 of them have been identified dying considering that March.

The fatalities had been initial flagged by a wildlife conservation charity, Elephants Devoid of Borders (EWB), whose private report referring to the 356 useless elephants was leaked to the media early in July.
EWB suspected elephants had been dying in the location for about three months, and mortality was not restricted to age or gender.
Several are living elephants appeared weak, lethargic and emaciated, with some displaying signs of disorientation, problems in strolling or limping, EWB claimed.
Tests are currently being conducted at specialist labs in South Africa, Canada, Zimbabwe and the US.
